Gamma testing
APHA has agreed to inform practices going forward when they are planning a Gamma test at a forthcoming Tb Test. This is so that the OV can be aware there maybe a greater time taken.
Iechyd Da will inform practices via email of forthcoming tests.
New OV’s/ Locum’s
If you have new OV’s joining your practice, full time or locums that will be providing TB testing then please ensure that you have had them complete the OV58 form to change practice, that they have also confirmed on their own SAM profile that they wish to be associated to you and that details have all been loaded into DEWIN.
A large number of new vets have not received important emails from Iechyd Da due to their details not being entered under the practice personnel page.
If the OV has moved from another Iechyd Da member practice then please contact Natasha in the office and she will be happy to transfer them over.
BTV Report Cases
All BTV report cases are now being sent via the area VDP. Iechyd Da have already seen a trickle of cases and thanks to the practices already involved.
Cases must be examined and paperwork returned within 3 working days. APHA forward I-da part completed forms to try and minimise the OV’s time on paperwork.
If you received the NDOT code and have not yet forwarded your certificate to the office please do so ASAP.
Only NDOT trained OV’s can complete the report case visits.

SAM arranged dates
Can all practices please ensure that they are entering the date, time and tester details into SAM at least 2 working days before the TT1 date. If there are any changes to the details, please update them as soon as you are made aware.
Practice percentages are extremely low and all practices need to be seen in improving test details.
